Richard Dimbleby Lecture 2004
Caught a portion of the Richard Dimbleby lecture by James Dyson last night on the BBC.
"James Dyson industrialist, designer, and inventor of the famous vacuum cleaner delivers the annual lecture in memory of the broadcaster Richard Dimbleby.He questions why we have become less interested in manufacturing and engineering at the expense of the service industries. He argues that, contrary to expectations, in the 21st century Britain needs to make some dramatic changes, both in society and in the city, to secure Britain's future."There were some interesting points that could be woven into futureacademy.
